29.1 "That's my name." Says the lion headed man. "I will be your guide."

"Come" He says, imperiously. You follow him automatically; his voice has a certain quality to it that makes it impossible to disobey. You walk across the cavern for a very long time, until you come upon a large disk made of blue crystal, hovering about a foot off the ground. The lion headed man steps onto the disk and gestures for you to follow. When both of you are standing on it, the disk begins to rise. Faster and faster, until you see a light above your head, and suddenly shoot out into the open sky. You see that you have come out of the chimney of a volcano.

You attempt to survey the ground below you, but find it impossible, as the disk suddenly shoots off in another direction, going forward instead of up, without a single break in it's motion. Mysteriously, you are not shaken or thrown off by this abrupt change of course.

Suddenly the disk stops over a large valley surounded by great obsidion mountains topped with jagged peaks. Below you are hordes of people fighting, some with rocks, some with sticks, and some with their bare hands. They fight like beasts, each one alone against all the others. All of them are covered with dirt and blood, naked or with their clothes hanging in tatters. Nearly all of them are bald, having had their hair torn off by their fellows.

"Now you shall learn the true nature of existence." Says the lion headed man. "The strong survive. The weak are destroyed and forgotten."

And he pushes you off the disk into the violence below.
